Why is TOTP more secure than SMS? TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) codes are generated directly on your device using a shared secret, so they don’t rely on your phone number or mobile network. This makes TOTP resistant to attacks like SIM swapping, where an attacker hijacks your phone number, or message interception. SMS messages can be more easily intercepted or compromised, making TOTP the safer choice for securing your account.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully set up your TOTP device. For your security, we’ve generated a single-use backup code. This code will allow you to recover access to your account in case you lose access to your authenticator app.
Enter your TOTP code from your Authenticator App to complete sign-in.
